About This Pangolin Sculpture:
Pangolins, are unique creatures known for their protective keratin scales and their role in the ecosystem as pest controllers.
Unfortunately, they are also one of the most trafficked mammals in the world, facing threats from illegal wildlife trade and habitat loss.
The sculpture captures the distinctive features of the pangolin, from its intricately detailed scales to its curious, gentle demeanor
I created this pangolin sculpture in the hope that “Pickles” helps raise awareness about these endangered animals and their conservation.
ROXY's ARTIST STATEMENT:
“As a young professional artist, I am passionate about creating sculptures that capture the essence of animals in a unique and endearing way. My focus on animals allows me to express my love for nature and wildlife in my artwork, and I work in bronze because of its timeless beauty and durability.
My sculptures are meant to induce feelings of joy and warmth, and I strive to bring an individual personality to my pieces. I believe that art has the power to bring people together and to evoke emotions, and I aim to use my sculptures to bring a smile to people’s faces and to brighten up their day.
I have also donated pieces to charity in order to help raise funds and awareness, this is something I am passionate about continuing to do.”
