About This Rabbit Sculpture:
Rabbits are often symbols of fertility, abundance, and renewal, representing the cycles of life and the promise of new beginnings.
This rabbit sculpture depicts a mother rabbit protecting her baby as they look out into the big world. The baby rabbit is the mother’s pride and joy, a title that also nods to my own mum, ‘Joy.’
The two posed together in this way brings a sense of warmth and nurturing to the piece, making it a heartfelt tribute to maternal love.
ROXY's ARTIST STATEMENT:
“As a young professional artist, I am passionate about creating sculptures that capture the essence of animals in a unique and endearing way. My focus on animals allows me to express my love for nature and wildlife in my artwork, and I work in bronze because of its timeless beauty and durability.
My sculptures are meant to induce feelings of joy and warmth, and I strive to bring an individual personality to my pieces. I believe that art has the power to bring people together and to evoke emotions, and I aim to use my sculptures to bring a smile to people’s faces and to brighten up their day.
I have also donated pieces to charity in order to help raise funds and awareness, this is something I am passionate about continuing to do.”
